AUGUST 21

GAS DRYERS 

LG Electronics and Sears are recalling LG Electronics and Kenmore Elite® Gas Dryers sold nationwide from November 2009 to August 2010. The gas valve in the recalled dryers can fail to shut off properly, continuing to heat the dryer and its contents after the drying cycle is complete. This poses a risk of burn, fire and smoke inhalation. 

Model and serial numbers can be found on a label fixed to the front of the dryer above the opened door, which can be viewed only when the dryer door is open and can be found at www.recalls.org

LG brand owners who purchased their dryer at retailers other than Sears should contact LG customer service at (866) 223-5355 between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, and between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. CT on Saturday, or visit www.lg.com/us and click on Public Notices to arrange for a free gas valve replacement. 

Customers who purchased Kenmore or LG brand dryers from Sears should contact Sears' customer service at (888) 375-9741 between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. CT Monday through Friday, and between 7:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M. Saturday, or visit www.sears.com and click on Product Recalls under Customer Service to schedule a free repair. More info at www.recalls.org

CHILDREN'S SCOOTERS 

Kickboard USA is recalling Children's Scooters sold nationwide from May 2012 to July 2012. The one-piece plastic platform that covers the front wheel base can break, posing a laceration hazard. 

This recall is for the three-wheeled Mini Micro scooter for children ages 3-5. "Micro" is written in black and blue letters on the metal handlebar and is imprinted on the black hand grips. "Mini Micro" is written on the front plastic covering.  A complete list can be found at www.recalls.org.

NIGHT LIGHTS 

Energizer is recalling Energizer Rotating Night Lights sold nationwide exclusively at Target stores from February 2010 to July 2012. The night lights can overheat and smoke, posing a burn hazard. 

This recall involves Energizer LED rotating night lights. Model number “NLPLROT” and date codes between 0110 (for January 2010) through 0111 (for January 2011) are included in this recall. The model number is stamped onto the side of the night light.

RECREATIONAL VEHICLES 

Kawasaki is recalling Teryx4 Recreational Off-Highway Vehicles sold nationwide from October 2011 to July 2012. The steering gear assembly and front brakes can fail, resulting in the loss of steering and braking, posing a risk of injury or death. 

The recalled vehicles are 2012 Kawasaki Teryx4 4x4 recreational off-highway vehicles in the following styles: 750, 750 EPS and 750 EPS LE.

Mansfield Plumbing Products is recalling Acrylic Bathtubs, Whirlpools and Air Massage Bathtubs sold nationwide from May 2011 to July 2011. The grab bars used on the products can loosen and break, posing a fall hazard. 

This recall involves acrylic bathtubs, whirlpools and air massage baths sold in various colors and under ten product names: Avalon, Barrett, Baywood, Brentwood, Camden, Castille, Covington, Hampton, Montclair and Reo..

Consumers should immediately contact Mansfield Plumbing at (800) 999-1459 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday or visit www.mansfieldplumbing.com to request a free grab bar repair kit. More info at www.recalls.org

BISTRO SETS 

Zest Garden is recalling Wilson & Fisher White Cast Bistro Table and Chairs Set sold nationwide exclusively at Big Lots stores from November 2011 to May 2012. The chairs can break during normal use, posing a fall hazard. 

This recall involves three-piece patio sets sold in a white, cut-out rose pattern. The item number is XG-1015-23. The product measurements, the item number and "Wilson & Fisher White Cast Bistro Set" and "Made in China" are printed on labels located on the product's packaging. 

Consumers should return the sets to any Big Lots store for a full refund.

CARE BEARS PACIFIERS 

IDM Group is recalling CareBears™ Pacifiers sold nationwide from October 2009 to June 2012. The pacifiers fail to meet federal safety standards. The nipples can separate from the base, posing a choking hazard. 

The pacifiers and the clip attachment have CareBear figures and a "TCFC" copyright mark on them.
