Robert LeClaire Spickard, 76, of Lincoln, formerly of Byers, Colo.,
died Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, at 6:15 a.m. at Maple Ridge Care Centre
in Lincoln.

LINCOLN-Robert LeClaire Spickard, 76, of Lincoln, IL, formerly of Byers,
Co. died at Maple Ridge Care Centre, Lincoln at 6:15
a.m. on Friday, August 24, 2012.
He retired after 25 years as a Denver Police Officer. His last duty
post was the former Stapleton International Airport.
Robert was born on November 19, 1935 in Pratt, Kansas and the son of
Floyd L. and Winnie E. Clowers Spickard. He married
Glendolyn June Wilson September 23, 1956. She preceded him
in death August 24, 2005. |
Robert is survived by two sons: Bob (Sheila)
Spickard of Lincoln, IL; Wayne Spickard of Byers,
CO; two daughters: Debbie (Greg) Cowell of Deertrail,
CO; Vickie (Steve) Himber of Eugene, OR; ten
grandchildren: Robby, Ami-Jo, Angela, Holly,
Michael, Brandi, Gary, Wendy, Danielle, and Breonna;
and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his parents, wife, and one brother: William
L. Spickard.
Robert's wishes were to be cremated. There will be a burial
in Byers, Colorado at a later date. Memorials may be made
to the Denver Police Benevolent Fund.
