Saturday afternoon, members of the Wisconsin Kiters Club spent time with some local children at the Logan County Airport, teaching them how to make kites.

The kids used butcher paper, lightweight wood and of course lots of string. They used brilliantly colored markers to decorate their kites, then went out into the wind and put them to the ultimate test.

While it was clear that many of them enjoyed the process of making their kites, for some, the expressions on their faces when the kites actually flew was priceless.
