Vintage Fare to close doors Friday

[August 28, 2012]  The Vintage Fare restaurant in downtown Lincoln will close its doors Friday until further notice.

For the last two years, since the death of Joyce Kinzie in September 2010, Vintage Fare, under the day-to-day management of daughter Cathy Kinzie Tiffany, has continued to offer Joyce's menu items, consisting of made-to-order salads, sandwiches, homemade soups, entrees and desserts.

The family is grateful for all the loyal support of customers, vendors and above all, the staff who have made it possible to continue to operate.

In addition to Vintage Fare closing on Friday, the Maple Club will wind down operations by the end of the year. Accommodations for remaining booked events are being honored with the help of Ted Lowers and his staff, now operating as Mr. Lincoln's on the Green at the Elks, across from Memorial Park.

The business as established by Joyce and Mel Kinzie, both deceased, needs full-time management and marketing resources to continue to be successful, and so the heirs to the estate have decided to sell any or all available assets of the business.

The Maple Club, operating initially as a dinner theater and private party catering venue, seats up to 200, and the Vintage Fare has seating for about 35.

Anyone interested in acquiring any of the available assets or anyone who would like more detailed information should contact Cathy Tiffany at 217-871-0704 or ctiffany@sblincoln.com.
