22nd annual tractor pull
The fall festival will include the 22nd antique tractor pull. The
hot farm stock tractors and 4x4 truck pulls will be featured again
this year, based on their popularity the last several years.
The hot farm stockers and 4x4 trucks will pull on Sunday at 1
p.m. Antique tractors will pull at noon Monday with pure farm stock
and open classes.
Pulling fans won't want to miss these shows, and organizers say
that if you have never attended one of the pulls, you don't know
what you are missing. Sometimes they are loud, but fans say you will
forget all about the noise when you see the friendly competition
between these pullers.
Contact Matt Rummel at 309-244-7862 or

year's tractor pull events.

Annual duck race
The annual duck race at the Delavan Fall Festival will take place
on Monday afternoon in the large lake in Lake Park.
Delavan Fire Department members assist festival board members
with this event each year.
Gail Mitchell is the chairman of this event and reports that in
preparation for this year's race, all of the ducks have been in for
a complete checkup so they are in great shape on race day.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners, with first place
being $100. There will be prizes for the first 10 ducks to cross the
finish line.
Buy a duck for each family member and cheer your duck to victory.
Ducks can be purchased during the entire festival weekend and
anytime prior to the festival by contacting Gail Mitchell.
Sponsors of the duck race this year are Greenhaven Animal Clinic,
Havana National Bank, Tremont First National Bank, Hopedale Medical
Complex and Minier Lanes.
