City to spray for mosquitoes tonight and Friday night

Send a link to a friend

[August 30, 2012]  The street and alley department in Lincoln will spray for mosquitoes starting tonight (Thursday). It takes two nights to cover the entire city.

The street department asks that if you have an alley, to please not block the alley, so that the spray truck can spray down the alley. For blocks without alleys, the truck will drive around them.

The street department also asks that after this weekend's rains, homeowners check for standing water in cans, tires, birdbaths, wheelbarrows or anything that holds water. The water will need to be dumped to prevent mosquitoes from laying eggs and hatching.
