Mount Pulaski Courthouse Foundation award-winners

[August 30, 2012]  MOUNT PULASKI -- The Mount Pulaski Courthouse Foundation has announced this year's Casimir Pulaski Citizen and the Casimir Pulaski Alumni Award recipients.

The 2012 Casimir Pulaski Most Distinguished Mount Pulaski Citizen Award winner is Darrell Knauer.

The 2012 Casimir Pulaski Most Distinguished Mount Pulaski High School Alumni Award winner is Marilyn Tanner-Blasiar

The foundation will honor these recipients at a reception and dinner on Sept. 6 at the Mount Pulaski American Legion.

Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. Cocktails will begin at 6 and dinner will be at 7.

At 8 p.m. there will be a brief discussion about the foundation, and the awards ceremony will take place at 8:30.

Dinner and hors d'oeuvres will be prepared by Mike Richner Catering

Tickets can be purchased at Salt Creek Attic, Farmer's Bank, Illinois National Bank and Johnson's True Value

All proceeds go to the foundation. This is the primary fundraiser to raise funds to continue the maintenance and repair of the Mount Pulaski Courthouse State Historic Site.

After the dinner everyone is invited to visit Frazier Park for fireworks. This fireworks display is a rescheduled event from the Fourth of July celebration.
