[August 31, 2012]  Community Action has announced the agency's Employee of the Quarter. Dana Friedrich was awarded the honor for the work she does as the Head Start teacher in the Manito classroom.

Friedrich was nominated by her co-workers. The following quotes highlight why she was chosen for this honor:
  • "Dana exhibits a passion for teaching and genuinely cares for each child and family in her classroom."

  • "Dana goes above and beyond for children, their families and the staff at her center."

  • "She remains calm throughout stressful days and events, while keeping a positive attitude."

Friedrich was presented with a plaque and $50 gift card by Beth Fleshman, who serves as Head Start director and Community Action Partnership deputy director.

Head Start and Early Head Start are always looking for expectant mothers, infants and toddlers up to age 5 to join their programs. If you know someone who is interested in helping their children build a solid learning foundation, contact Head Start at 1-877-588-7189.
