Technical selling at the Board of Trade sent futures lower.

In Northern and Western Illinois country grain dealers quoted shelled corn bids 3 to 7 cents lower at 7.28-7.45.

Soybean bids were 7 to 10 cents lower at 14.02-14.21.

In the Southern part of the state, shelled corn bids were 3 to 6 cents lower at 7.20-7.66.

Wheat bids were 20 to 25 cents lower at 8.25-8.42.

Illinois grains and soybean bids closed higher when compared to two weeks ago.

Strong demand, commercial buying, and a good inspected-for-export figure for the week ending November 21 of 45.5 million bushels were factors that supported the soybean futures in the beginning of the week.

Noncommercial selling and crop friendly weather forecasted in South America pressured soybean futures on Wednesday.

Wheat futures were supported during the week by warm, dry weather conditions in the winter wheat growing areas; with a declining good/excellent crop condition report of 33 percent, which is the record lowest rating for this time of the year; tight global pipeline supplies and a lower US Dollar on Wednesday.

Supporting factors to the corn futures were spillover support from higher soybean and wheat futures during the week, trade concerns over dry weather and low Mississippi River water levels.
