Once the creamy batter was whipped into shape, the final step for the students was to fill the small loaf pans with batter.

Everyone seemed to have their own filling technique, but in the end the job got done, and very well at that.

The loaves were baked by cafeteria staff. Later Friday they were then wrapped and labeled for the Christmas bazaar at the school this Sunday.

When you go to the bazaar, look for the little pumpkin loaves. They will be specifically labeled as having been made by the first- and second-grade classes with help from the fifth-graders.

And don't forget, the best baked goods are those that are "made with love."
