Lady Eagles vs. Bethel Lutheran School of Morton

[December 01, 2012]  The Zion Lutheran School Lady Eagles eighth- and sixth-grade basketball teams both lost by five points Thursday to Bethel Lutheran School of Morton.

The Lincoln eighth-grade team led 26-23 at the end of the third quarter, but ZLS was outscored in the final quarter by eight points. The final score was 34-29.

Brooklyn Hermes with 10 and Hailie Williams with nine led the scoring for the Lady Eagles. Anna Sielaff and Katie Hunsley each added five points.

The team record is now 14-3.

The score for the sixth-grade grade was 22-17. ZLS led at the end of the first quarter and had a two-point deficit at halftime. Lane Prather led all scorers with 10 points. Madelyn Koehler was held to four points, and Grace Montgomery scored three in the last quarter.
