James 'Bob' Rawlins

[December 04, 2012]  LINCOLN -- James R. "Bob" Rawlins, 79, of Lincoln, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 at 4:30 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor.

Lincoln --James R. "Bob" Rawlins, 79, of Lincoln, died Monday, December 03, 2012, at 4:30 a.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.

Funeral services for Mr. Rawlins will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta. Mr. Maurice Stribling will officiate.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in Mountjoy Cemetery in rural Atlanta.

Surviving Mr. Rawlins are his children: Robert (Gail) Rawlins of Lincoln and Julie (Dustin) Smith of Springfield. Seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Two brothers: Jon (Carol Ann) Rawlins of Groveland and Myron (Karen) Rawlins of Atlanta and one sister: Joyce (Chuck) Damm of Marysville, Calif. One sister-in-law Karen Rawlins of Heyworth.

James R. "Bob" Rawlins was born May 11, 1933, in Libertyville, the son of Joseph Robert and Dorothy E. Williams Rawlins.

Mr. Rawlins graduated from the Atlanta Community High School in 1951.

Bob served in the United States Army.

He retired from Lehn and Fink in Lincoln.

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Gerry Rawlins, and one sister, Dorothy Jackson.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or American Diabetes Association.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta.
