Logan County 4-H'ers earn achievement awards

[December 06, 2012]  This year the Logan County 4-H clubs had their own program to recognize 4-H achievements.

Some 4-H'ers are chosen each year in special award categories. A book is presented to 4-H'ers with outstanding work, quantity, quality, years, citizenship, leadership, participation, skill acquisition and growth. The books are given in three age categories: 8-10 years old, 11-13 and 14-19. A Blue Award is given to 4-H'ers deserving of repeat recognition in a category. In the 14-19 category the medal awards are nationally sponsored and may be received only once in each curriculum area. The top award winners in the major award categories for 2012 are as follows:
