LINCOLN -- Eleanor Schmidt, 90, of
Lincoln, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at 4 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.

Lincoln – Eleanor Schmidt, 90, of Lincoln, passed
away on Wednesday, December 05, 2012, at 4:00 a.m.
at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Schmidt will be held on
Friday, December 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the
Immanuel Lutheran Church in Lincoln. Pastor Thomas
Kamprath will officiate.
Visitation will be held at the church for one hour
prior to the service.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery.
Florence Eleanor Turner was born December 2, 1922,
in rural Atlanta, the daughter of Gilbert and Laura
Petty Turner. She married Virgil Dietrick Schmidt on
May 23, 1941, in St. Charles, Missouri. He preceded
her in death on March 25, 2010.
Eleanor is survived by her son, Harold Dean
(Phyllis) Schmidt of Lincoln, three grandchildren,
seven great-grandchildren and one
great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four
brothers and two sisters.
Eleanor was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in
Lincoln and the American Legion Auxiliary. She
worked for many years at Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital as a Nurses' Aide.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion
Auxiliary or to Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home of Atlanta.
