Lincoln College's Aaron Simpson named NJCAA Player of the Week

[December 07, 2012]  Aaron Simpson, of the Lincoln College men's basketball team, was named the NJCAA Division II Player of the Week for games Nov. 26 to Dec. 2.

Simpson, from North Chicago and a graduate of North Chicago High School, is a guard for the Lincoln College Lynx.

Simpson posted over 30 points in two of three games last week for the Lynx. Spurring Lincoln on to a 95-72 victory over Lewis and Clark Community College, he knocked down 12-of-17 shots from the field for a game-high 36 points. The freshman then recorded 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists in a 76-54 rout of Black Hawk College-East. Although the Lynx lost 85-81 to State Fair Community College of Missouri, Simpson enjoyed another top-notch performance with 31 points, five assists and four steals.
