The American Legion Auxiliary and Post 263 of Lincoln recently had two workdays to benefit the Illiana VA hospital in Danville.

In total the group prepared 26 boxes of various items for delivery to the veterans hospital on Dec. 3.

Some of the items included in the care packages were toiletries, personal clothing items, snacks, hardback and paperback books, fabric softener, games, and cases of soap.

In addition the group made and delivered 827 tray favors that will be used as meals are being served to the veterans each day.
