The WLB seventh grade (5-4) won a tightly contested 40-37
decision. Jack Eimer iced the game with two free throws with 19
seconds remaining and finished with a team-high 19 points along
with six rebounds and four assists. Zach Morris added 13 points
with seven rebounds and four assists. Rounding out the scoring
for WLB were Carter McCraith with five, Payton Batley with two
and Blake Jones with one.
The eighth grade (7-2) ran away from the Saints with a 52-4
victory. Alex O'Donoghue poured in 18 points and grabbed seven
rebounds to go along with seven steals, while Casey Mollohan
chipped in with 14 points and 10 boards. Preston Ebelherr added
13 points while nabbing six steals. Rounding out the scoring for
the Wolverines were Zac Montcalm with three, Ryan Steffans with
two and Josh Henderson with two.
Coaches Biggs and Horn invite the public to the final home
game Monday versus the Carroll Catholic Crusaders. Between the
seventh- and eighth-grade games there will be a ceremony to
honor the eighth-grade team members and cheerleaders for their
years of hard work and dedication.
