CEL Panthers take 2 from Crusaders

[December 14, 2012]  The Chester-East Lincoln Panthers played host to the Carroll Catholic Crusaders on Thursday night and were able to come away with two wins in county play.

The CEL seventh-grade team won 38-26. The leading scorer in the game was Sam Birnbaum with 16. The Panthers also had contributions from Josh Vinson and Jordan Jacobs with eight each, Will Ewald with six, and Nick Kromry had two. The Crusaders were led by Brayton Brown with eight, while Cole Cummings had six and Drew Singleton had four.

The eighth-grade Panthers squeaked out a win by the score of 39-34. Drew Martin led the Panthers with 17, Mike Chi had 14, Birnbaum added four, Nathan Benz had three points, and Vinson had one. The leading scorer in the game was Clayton Dixon with 18 points for the Crusaders, and Joel Robinson added eight.
