[December 18, 2012]  Some residents of Lincoln and Logan County experienced an Internet outage Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning.

Crews from Frontier Communications, CCAonline and other companies scrambled through the day and into the night to find and correct the source of the problem.

Around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Frontier Communications found the source of the outage: a fiber-optic line that had been cut in McLean by unknown parties around 2:30 p.m. Monday.

Frontier fiber repair crews worked through the night to repair the damaged line and restore service to the affected area. They report that they have made progress on the repair of the fiber-optic line and expect to have service restored this morning.
