Wolverines earn spilt with Wildcats

[December 19, 2012]  SPRINGFIELD -- The West Lincoln-Broadwell Wolverines traveled to Springfield Tuesday night to face Springfield Christian.

The WLB eighth-grade grade team (9-2) won a tightly contested, back-and-forth game 36-35. Preston Ebelherr led the attack with 17 points to go along with three steals and three assists. Casey Mollohan added nine points and grabbed four rebounds. Rounding out the scoring for the Wolverines were Alex O'Donoghue with six and Zac Montcalm and Ryan Steffens with two each The seventh-grade squad (5-6) fell 43-28. Jack Eimer led the way with 11 points. Also scoring for WLB were Payton Batley with five, Zach Morris and Blake Jones with four each, and both Carter McCraith and Will Tiffany added two points.
