May 7 -- Mount Pulaski High School Prom March

June 28  -- Prairie Years has added something new to the landscape of their store. It's pretty amazing what some of the shop owners in downtown Lincoln come up with to make their shops stand out and draw interest. The vintage bike with its basket of flowers just seems to say, "Come on in! What is inside is just as unique and special as what is outside!

June 29 -- Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce director Andi Hake was up to no good Thursday afternoon, and here she is caught in the act. The car being wrapped with police tape belongs to departing Lincoln & Logan County Development Partnership director Mike Maniscalco. A reception was held for Maniscalco Thursday, and while well-wishers were inside the Farm Bureau building on the downtown square saying goodbye to Maniscalco, Hake and a little group of accomplices gave him a special going-away gift. LDN will have more coverage on this in the Saturday edition.

July 3 -- On March 12, Robert Danosky, assistant fire chief, was off duty and having breakfast at an area restaurant. As he left, he saw a group of people outside in panic and calling for help. He went to them and found a man lying on the ground with no pulse. Danosky performed CPR while EMTs were en route. The man survived. Monday evening, Chief Mark Miller acknowledged Danosky's heroic efforts, while Danosky himself humbly said he did not act alone, as the firefighters and paramedics who were on duty at the scene should also be given much credit for the survival of the victim.

July 2 -- Lincoln Christian Church hosts Princess Tea in the Secret Garden

July 2 -- A lot of time and effort went into the viaduct project this weekend.

July 2 -- The work isn't quite finished, according to co-organizers Kathy Vinyard and Roy Logan, but it is very close and looking good!
