Wind for central Illinois; blizzard to the southeast

[December 26, 2012]  The National Weather Service office in Lincoln released a hazardous weather outlook at 5:53 a.m. Wednesday for portions of central Illinois. This outlook is for the counties of Cass, Christian, DeWitt, Fulton, Knox, Logan, Macon, Marshall, Mason, McLean, Menard, Morgan, Peoria, Piatt, Sangamon, Schuyler, Scott, Stark, Tazewell and Woodford.

Wednesday and Wednesday night

Windy conditions are expected Wednesday, with gusts to around 30 mph as a winter storm tracks east of the area. Minor snow accumulation is possible east of Interstate 55, especially in areas east of Decatur, as the storm moves by.

Thursday through Tuesday

Another storm system may bring light accumulating snow Friday and Friday night.
