[February 02, 2012 Wednesday evening Jim Xamis Ford Lincoln Mercury served as hosts to the Cirque du Soleil Quidam tour bus. The bus, tagged as a rolling billboard by tour manager Zach Daigneault, features brilliant colors and larger-than-life depictions of the some of the central characters of the Quidam performance.

Cirque du Soleil will present Quidam in Springfield later this month. The bus was in Lincoln on Wednesday evening and will be in various other locations throughout the central Illinois region over the next couple of weeks.

One of the highlights of the bus promotion was the "green board," where visitors could have their photo taken. Later, from the Quidam website, they can retrieve an image of themselves as though they were part of the performance.

Inside the front doors of the Xamis dealership, there was also a small reception. With tons of ready-to-eat sweets to tempt visitors, Jim Xamis was all smiles as he chatted with his guests.

Also inside the showroom was a brand-new red Ford pickup with a bed full of Pease's candies. Xamis explained that the truck will be there for the next several days, and folks are encouraged to guess how many pounds of Pease’s candies are in the bed of the truck.
