Alternative program graduate Greg Rufus (pictured) and his friend Darves Stancle presented a Christian rap performance to open the graduation ceremony.

After the graduation ceremony, LCHS school board member Mark Aughton, Superintendent Robert Bagby and the alternative education coordinator, Janet Lovdahl, served cake and refreshments to the graduates and their guests.

Fall semester 2011 graduates from Lincoln Alternative High School: Greg Rufus, Tia Butler, Lillie Segelke and Brandy Nelson. (Graduates Tayler Schulte and Ethan Tabor were unable to attend the ceremony.)

The message on the cake said it all -- "Congratulations, Graduates" -- for putting yourselves in a better place by completing the first phase of your education and your lives.
