Annual conference for elders and church leaders

[February 07, 2012]  The Lincoln Christian University Elders' and Church Leaders' Conference provides an invaluable resource for leaders in congregations throughout the Midwest. If you are a leader in your church, you are encouraged to attend "Just Lead!" on Feb. 18 at the Earl Hargrove Chapel on the LCU campus.

HardwareA team of educators, Dr. Gary Johnson, Dr. David Roadcup and Dr. James Estep, will share strategies for dealing with confusion, conformity and conflict in churches of every size. Together, they co-authored "e2 -- effectiveelders, What Every Elder Should Know."

Estep is associate dean of online programs and professor of Christian education at Lincoln Christian University. He has been in the ministry since 1985, teaching in colleges and seminaries, congregations around the country. He has authored several books on Christian education and has published numerous essays and articles.

Johnson has served as senior minister of Indian Creek Christian Church in Indianapolis, Ind., for nearly two decades. He also serves as director of pastoral leadership studies on the faculty of the seminary at Cincinnati Christian University. With a passion for world missions, he has made 50 trips overseas to train church leaders cross-culturally.

Roadcup is the executive director of the Center for Church Advancement and professor of practical ministries at Cincinnati Christian University. He has been in ministry for over 40 years and authored numerous articles and books. He was one of the founding members of Promise Keepers and presently serves on the boards of directors for Christ in Youth and Christian Arabic Services.
