Thursday morning the Lincoln & Logan County Development Partnership hosted a news conference at 2500 Woodlawn Road, the site that will by the end of the year be the location of a new Aldi food store.

Maniscalco called the news conference to announce the commencement of the next stage of the Logan County Master Plan: implementation. A committee of four local professionals have been selected to assist in achieving the goals of the plan: Leveraging Higher Education, Creating a Compelling Place, Creating a 21st Century Infrastructure and Cultivating Entrepreneurialism.

Maniscalco spoke about the team, then each member offered a few words as well. In addition to these four, Maniscalco said there is a need for volunteers to serve with the committee. Anyone interested in doing this can visit the development partnership's website and complete the volunteer form.

Kristi Powell is a member of the leadership team of Logan 2.0.  Her focus will be on "Leveraging Higher Education Assets."

 

David Lanterman will serve Logan 2.0 by focusing on the goal of "Creating a Compelling Place."

Mark A. Houpt has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry.  He will use his knowledge to head up the master plan goal of creating a "21st Century Infrastructure and Cultivating Entrepreneurialism."

Crystal Alley will serve as the Logan 2.0 chief operating officer. Alley is a lifelong resident of Lincoln and has been employed for the past 18 years with the corporate headquarters of State Farm Insurance.
