Natalie Stephens, soprano, has recently completed her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Ms Stephens also holds a BFA in Music Theater from the esteemed program at Elon University in North Carolina. After studying opera and voice in Perugia, Italy in 2007, Ms Stephens decided to pursue classical singing. While at SIU, Ms. Stephens had the privilege to sing the roles of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro and Mariane in Tartuffe. She has also been featured in many concerts and opera galas with the Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra, performing roles such as Adele in Die Fledermaus and Frasquita in Carmen. In the spring of 2011, Ms. Stephens was a featured soloist in G.F. Handel's The Messiah with the Southern Illinois Symphony Orchestra and the SIU Concert Choir. She also was a soloist in the premiere of Dr. Frank Stemper's composition, "A Brief Message from Makanda, Illinois" at Orchestra Hall in Chicago.

Other favorite roles include Maria in West Side Story, Luisa in The Fantasticks, Olive in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and many more.

Although she called North Carolina home, Ms. Stephens and her beau, Dr. Timothy Pitchford, have just relocated to Bloomington, Illinois where Dr. Pitchford is employed by Illinois Wesleyan University's School of Music as the head of the trombone studio and jazz department. Ms. Stephens has recently opened a voice and photography studio called Blossom Studio @ 309.
