[February 14, 2012]  The Lincoln Christian University men's basketball team recorded a 78-67 victory over Central Christian College of the Bible on Saturday at the Laughlin Center. The Red Lions of LCU had fallen to CCCB 114-103 in the season-opener.

HardwareJunior Brady Cremeens led all scorers with 21 points, along with nine rebounds and six assists. Senior Chris Lawson claimed 19 points. Senior Mac Ingmire provided a season-high six steals in the victory.

After the game Cremeens said: "We weren't perfect tonight but played hard and well enough on defense to get the job done. We held them to 40 points less than last time, so that had a lot to do with coming out on top."

The 114-point total LCU gave up in the previous game with CCCB was the season high.

The Red Lions will face St. Louis Christian College in Florissant, Mo., tonight (Tuesday) at 7. The last time the two teams faced each other, LCU claimed an easy victory, 97-64.

The LCU women's basketball team was unable to come out on top against Central Christian College of the Bible on Saturday as they lost 64-51. The Red Lions ended the first half tied at 26, but CCCB was able to make a strong finish in the second half to seal the victory.

Freshman Tatiana Colclasure led all scorers with 18 points. Freshman Alicia Carson added 13 points and nine rebounds.

The Red Lions were outrebounded 43-26, which proved to be a difference in the outcome.
