Hartem FFA breakfast enjoyed

[February 14, 2012]  HARTSBURG -- The weather was dismal on Monday morning, but that made it all the better for those who got out of bed for a hearty breakfast featuring egg casserole. The Hartsburg-Emden FFA sponsored the annual fundraiser hosted in the high school cafeteria.

HardwareSchool was out for the day. And, with about 90 percent of the Hartsburg-Emden High School student body being members of the FFA, the event was well attended.

Also lending a hand or in attendance were Hartem FFA Alumni members, which are plenty in number in the two rural northwest Logan County communities.

The group shared information that anyone can become a member of the alumni chapter, which supports student growth, activities and awards.

You don't have to be a member to attend the next public event for the organization, which is the annual Hartsburg-Emden FFA Alumni banquet. This event will be on March 11 at 6 p.m. at the Hartsburg American Legion. Guest speaker for the evening will be Greg Sauder, owner of Precision Planting in nearby Tremont.

Reservations should be made by Feb. 24. The meal will be chicken, baked potato, green beans, drink and dessert. Contact a Hartem FFA Alumni board member for ticket information:
