Restoration
projects at Allen Chapel in Lincoln are ongoing as the members
of the congregation have worked diligently to keep this historic
church standing for generations to come. In June of last
year, Allen Chapel received a $700 grant for restoration
projects, and in December the Friends of Allen Chapel was formed
to also raise money for projects. Monday evening at 6:30
the Logan County Genealogical & Historical Society will hear
from Lillian Sullivan, the Allen Chapel pastor. She will
speak about "The History & the Congregation's Efforts in the
Restoration of the Chapel." The meeting will be at
114 N. Chicago St. The public is
welcome and encouraged to attend.
