LC swimming hosts Midwest Cup

[February 21, 2012]  The Lynx hosted the second annual Midwest Cup on Friday and Saturday. The meet was the last before the team leaves for NJCAA national championships. The entire weekend was a great success, with the men and women both claiming victories over Iowa Lakes Community College, Iowa Central Community College and Robert Morris University.

HardwareOn top of back-to-back wins, the Lynx set multiple pool records.

  • Paula Carvajal (200 IM, 200 breast)

  • Libby Hess (100 breast)

  • Maggie Rea (1,650 free)

  • Mariana Cury (100 free, 200 free)

  • 200 medley relay (Rachel Dean, Libby Hess, Paula Carvajal, Sarah Ochoa)

  • 400 medley relay (Rachel Dean, Libby Hess, Loury Rodriguez, Mariana Cury)

  • 200 free relay (Mariana Cury, Loury Rodriguez, Sarah Ochoa, Paula Carvajal)

  • 400 free relay (Maggie Rea, Paula Carvajal, Mariana Cury, Sarah Ochoa)
