Hilltoppers take down DeLand-Weldon

in 1st regional game Monday night

Monday evening the Mount Pulaski Hilltoppers took the victory over DeLand-Weldon in their regional tournament. Tonight (Wednesday) they will take on Decatur Christian.

At the Monday evening 3-point shootout, freshmen Beau Collier and Michael Lowery along with sophomore Brady Thomas qualified to advance into the next round, which will also take place Wednesday.

During the game Monday night, Mark Foley led the Hilltoppers to victory with 20 points scored. Other high scorers for the Mount Pulaski team were Jonathan Oberreiter with 11, Brady Thomas 10, Michael Lowery 8 and Alex Deppe 4.

High scorers for DeLand-Weldon were John Becker 12, Garrett Duff 10, Dee Woods 9 and Jay Woods 6.
