Hilltopper season ends with a loss to Decatur Christian

Mount Pulaski High School ended their season Wednesday night with a 58-42 regional loss to Decatur Christian. Mount Pulaski ends the season with a record of nine wins and 19 losses.

Leading scorers for the Hilltoppers were Mark Foley with 10 points, Brady Thomas with nine, Owen Tschantz with eight and Alex Deppe with five.

The regional championship game between Decatur Christian and Sangamon Valley will be Friday evening at 7:30 in Mount Pulaski.

Beau Collier and Brady Thomas of MPHS also advanced to the next round of the IHSA 3-point shootout.

OK, this is the last one... yes, really, the last of three Foley boys who have played Mount Pulaski basketball for many years. Senior Mark Foley (30) is congratulated by teammate Jordan Lucjaz. Mark had an outstanding basketball career at MPHS and his 6-foot-8 frame will be missed!
