Clarence L. Spurgin, 87, of New Holland, died Friday,
Feb. 24, 2012, at 7:20 p.m. at St. Clara's Manor in Lincoln.

New Holland: Clarence L. Spurgin, 87, of New
Holland, died at 7:20 P.M. Friday
February 24, 2012 at St. Clara's Nursing Home,
Lincoln.
Mr. Spurgin was born on April 29, 1924 to Frank and
Iona VanNatten Spurgin in Ruby, WI. He was a retired
farmer and raised produce with his wife to sell at
the Farmer's Market. He married Virginia Spencer on
December 17, 1944 in Springfield, IL. She survives
of New Holland.

Also surviving is one daughter Beverly (Dennis)
Tibbs of New Holland, two
grandchildren Zac (fiance Chrissy) Tibbs of Sherman and
Tonya (Tim) Evans of
Fairbury, IL, and two great-grandchildren Carter and Jackson
Evans of Fairbury, IL. He was preceded in death by his
parents and one brother George.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday February 28,
2012 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with
burial following at Elmwood Cemetery in Greenview, IL.
Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Monday evening at the
funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
