[February 28, 2012]  Main Street Lincoln is pleased to announce its annual Looking for Lincoln event, scheduled for March 18 at 1 p.m. at the Maple Club, 1458 Route 121, Lincoln. The luncheon agenda will stress the heritage of our communities. Abraham Lincoln is significant to our legacy as are many of our historical and unique characteristics.

HardwareMain Street Lincoln will continue to energize a wide range of community interests by recognizing communities in Logan County. In keeping with the Abraham Lincoln National Heritage Area, managed by Looking for Lincoln, the focus for this year's event will be for presenters to share a story about a fact, event or person in their community that had a significant impact but is not well known to others in Logan County. Lincolnite Mike Fak will provide comedy that "connects the dots" for kinship between towns and county.

Tickets are $16 per person and must be purchased in advance by March 8 at the following locations: Main Street Lincoln and Beans & Such in Lincoln, Farmers State Bank of Emden, Salt Creek Attic in Mount Pulaski, Illini Bank of Elkhart, Atlanta National Bank and Bank of Chestnut.

For more information, call the Main Street Lincoln office, 217-732-2929.
