[January 05, 2012]  KANSAS, Okla. -- The Lincoln Christian University women's basketball team started off the second half of the season with two games at the Cookson Hills Classic. The Red Lions lost their first game of the tournament to Manhattan Christian College 54-51 on Tuesday. LCU then lost to Ozark Christian College 62-56 on Wednesday.

Sophomore Moriah Kirkpatrick and freshman Tatiana Colclasure led the Red Lions with 19 points each against MCC. Kirkpatrick provided the game's only double-double when she tallied up an additional 15 rebounds.

Colclasure led LCU with 24 points against OCC. Kirkpatrick continued her dominating performance when she put up her third double-double in three games, scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds against Ozark.

The Red Lions (1-7) were excited to get back on the court this week after not playing a game for nearly a month. Heading into the latter part of their season, coach Bowman's team showed signs of improvement at the Cookson Hills Classic.
