Lessen to speak at Woman's Club

[January 16, 2012]  Kristi Lessen, director of the Healthy Communities Partnership with Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, will be speaking to members of the Lincoln Woman's Club during a 1 p.m. tea at the club building on Wednesday.

The Healthy Communities Partnership strives to create the healthiest community in America through improving the health and quality of life for the people and communities it serves.

Lessen has administered the fiscal and administrative responsibilities for the HOPE Mobile, Healthy Behaviors Task Force and Parish Nurse Task Force for the past eight years.

Prior to joining ALMH, she worked for six years as the substance abuse prevention specialist for Mental Health Centers of Central Illinois, Logan-Mason Unit.

She holds a master's in human sciences from Murray State University and a bachelor's degree in community health from Eastern Illinois University.

At the club meeting Janet Haning will be in charge of devotions, with Jackie Campbell and Joyce Board as greeters, and Diane Osborn and Carol Schwanz as social committee members.

Members are asked to bring items for Sojourn House, including pajamas, slippers, robes and hygiene items. These should be placed in a zip-locked plastic bag.
