Human head found in plastic bag in Los Angeles
[January 18, 2012] LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Detectives are expected to resume searching an area of Los Angeles where two dogs found a human head in a plastic bag.

Police say two dog walkers with about nine dogs came across the bag on a popular trail below the Hollywood sign in the Hollywood Hills on Tuesday. Sgt. Mitzi Fierro told KCAL-TV that two dogs began playing with the bag. She says an object fell out and the dog walkers realized it was a severed head, believed to be from a male. She says the bag was visible from the trail and that it didn't appear to have been in the area for a long time. Coroner's investigators will attempt to identify the victim through dental records. Detectives are expected to search the area again at daybreak Wednesday. |
