"I went to (ALMH) to get my yearly mammogram. Sara was the
radiologist who was conducting my procedure. She was awesome," said
the patient in a written nomination. "She has a great personality,
very personable and cares a great deal about her patients. She goes
above and beyond what her job calls for, hats off to Sara." Sara
began her career at ALMH in March 1996 while a student and was then
hired full time in May of that year. She has an associate degree in
applied sciences for radiology. She is registered in diagnostic
radiography, mammography and CT.
She enjoys working at ALMH because she works side by side with
friends, loves her boss and patients, works in different modalities,
lives nearby, and enjoys working out in the rehab gym after hours.
Day-to-day, Sara said her job can be funny, stressful,
fulfilling, scary or unusual.
"But that's why I like it. At any time it changes," she said. "I
love my patients, and it's really nice being here for so long
because I know a lot of them personally."

A career in radiology means being able to adapt easily to change.
But, Sara said, it's really what you make of it. "And the
opportunities are endless."
ALMH employs about 300 in a variety of roles. Each month someone
is honored as Employee of the Month.
