Skelton sentenced for burglary

[January 19, 2012]  The Logan County states attorney's office has reported that James D. Skelton has been sentenced for burglary and for driving while his license was revoked.

Skelton was sentenced on Jan. 13 for two pending Logan County felony cases:

  • In Logan County Case No. 2010-CF-17, James D. Skelton was sentenced pursuant to a plea agreement to eight (8) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for Burglary, a class 2 felony. This eight year sentence for Burglary shall be served consecutively to a five (5) year prison sentence that James Skelton is currently serving on a 2009 McLean County case.

  • In Logan County Case No. 2009-CF-79, James Skelton was sentenced pursuant to a plea agreement to two (2) years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for Driving While License is Revoked, a class 4 felony.
