Joint city-county meeting Tuesday at the park district

[January 20, 2012]  The Lincoln City Council and members of the Logan County Board’s insurance committee will have a joint meeting Tuesday at the Lincoln Park District Ballroom, beginning at 6 p.m.

The purpose of the meeting is to hear from two prospective consultants who wish to work with the city and county in their electric aggregation process.

Good Energy and Illinois Community Choice Aggregation Network are expected to send representatives to make presentations to the group.

Each firm will be given 30 minutes to present and up to 30 minutes to field questions.

Those who will represent the county are the members of the insurance and legislative committee: Andy Anderson, Kevin Bateman, Andy Meister, Bill Martin, Pat O'Neil and committee chair Jan Schumacher.

The city will be represented by all 10 of its aldermen. Immediately after the presentations, the council will move on to its regular committee of the whole meeting.
