Sunday morning shooting still under investigation

[January 23, 2012]  A Lincoln man is reported to be in stable condition in a Springfield hospital after a shooting that took place Sunday morning.

Lincoln Police Department Chief Ken Greenslate said the incident occurred at 11:40 a.m. Sunday in the 600 block of North Jefferson Street, when two male subjects were involved in a dispute and one was shot.

The bullet traveled into the victim’s right shoulder and passed through his upper arm.

Greenslate said there have been no arrests made as of Monday morning, but there is a person of interest in the case.

No names were released, pending completion of the police investigation.
