[January 26, 2012]  Lincoln Daily News was notified late Wednesday evening that the special committee consisting of representatives from the Lincoln City Council, Logan County Board and the Lincoln & Logan County Development Partnership has reached a decision on one consultant they will recommend to full boards of the city and county.

Snyder, on behalf of the full group, sent out the following email:

Representatives from the Logan County Board, the City of Lincoln, and the Economic Development Partnership met this evening to review the presentations and information presented by the two electric aggregation consultants last night. After a thorough discussion and evaluation, all three entities agreed to recommend that the County, the City, and other municipalities in Logan County all move forward to secure consulting services from the same consultant.

The County, the City, and the Partnership are requesting further clarification and information from the preferred consultant. Once that information is obtained, it is expected that the consultant will be voted on no later than the City Council's February 6th meeting and the County Board's Insurance Committee's February 8th meeting. All three entities are grateful for the cooperative effort of the other bodies.
