[January 30, 2012]  The Lincoln Christian University men's basketball team claimed victory over rivals St. Louis Christian College on Saturday 97-64. The Red Lions of LCU started off strong by taking an 11-2 lead in the opening minutes of the game. SLCC did not have an answer for first-year coach Davis Hodem's offense as the Red Lions stretched the lead to 39 points toward the end of the game.

Senior Chris Lawson led all scorers with 20 points, while junior Brady Cremeens tacked on 18 points. Freshman Alan Leigh continued to prove himself as he recorded 16 points and nine rebounds during the match.

Even though senior captain Mac Ingmire was out with a shoulder injury, the Red Lions showed their bench players can contribute. Eleven of the eligible 13 players scored for LCU on Saturday, including freshman Gabe Langseth, who led the bench with a career-high 14 points.

The Red Lions hit the court again when they play St. Louis College of Pharmacy on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in St. Louis, Mo.
