In the city of Lincoln, the Fourth just wouldn't be the Fourth without the annual Old-Fashioned Children's Walking Parade. Each year kids turn out by the dozens wearing their best patriotic garb. They bring along their bikes, also decorated, or wagons, or sometimes their pets. Then the group takes to the streets, traveling from Scully Park out to the Lincoln Park District.

Once at the park district, they're treated to prizes for their efforts in decorating and get a good soaking from the city of Lincoln Fire Department.

This year, even though it was hotter than normal, it seemed that there were more participants than ever.
