As always, the city of Lincoln was well represented at the children's parade. Alderwoman Kathy Horn with fiancé Will Peters and her little dog Petey were there, along with Alderwoman Jonie Tibbs. Alderman David Wilmert, wife Cari and son Cameron participated in the parade. For Cameron, who is just barely a year old, it was his first parade. The city's treasurer, Chuck Conzo, and wife Judy were there, as was Mayor Keith Snyder. Snyder served as one of the judges for the day.

And of course, the city fire and police departments were there, along with a throng of volunteers who help park district director Marcia Greenslate and activities director Roy Logan pull off a successful day for everyone.
