[July 09, 2012]  (AP) -- A look at who's out of the Tour de France after a series of crashes through the first eight stages (includes cyclist, country, team, injury):

Stage 3:

  • Kanstantsin Sivtsov, Belarus (Sky), broken left shin

  • Jose Joaquin Rojas, Spain (Movistar), broken collarbone

  • Maarten Tjallingii, Netherlands (Rabobank), broken left hip

Stage 5:

  • Marcel Kittel, Germany (Argos-Shimano), stomach trouble

Stage 6:

  • Amets Txurruka, Spain (Euskaltel-Euskadi), broken collarbone

  • Ryder Hesjedal, Canada (Garmin-Sharp), injured left leg and hip

  • Robert Hunter, South Africa (Garmin-Sharp), injured spine

  • Jose Ivan Gutierrez, Spain (Movistar), injured knee

  • Imanol Erviti, Spain (Movistar), injured knee

  • Hubert Dupont, France (AG2R-La Mondiale), broken bones, sprained ankle

  • Maarten Wynants, Belgium (Rabobank), broken ribs, perforated lung

  • Oscar Freire, Spain, (Katusha), punctured lung, broken rib

  • Tom Danielson, U.S. (Garmin-Sharp), separated left shoulder, sprained neck, chest contusion, deep abrasions
