Letters
on electric aggregation are set to start going out
today to Lincoln residents and small businesses. The letters will arrive on
a letterhead that offers a
combination of the city of Lincoln and Integrys logos
and identifiers. Above is a sample provided by
Mayor Keith Snyder of the residential letter. Also
included with the letter will be an "opt-out" postcard
consumers can fill out and drop in the mail if they DO
NOT want their electricity switched away from Ameren
Illinois.

A
helicopter drops water during a fire in a
high-rise building in Istanbul, Turkey, on Tuesday. Turkish officials said hundreds
of people were quickly evacuated and no one was
hurt. Black smoke rose from the 42-story Polat
Towers until firefighters brought it under
control. The building is partly residential and
partly occupied by shops and businesses.

construction crew adding a new roof to a salt storage building
at IDOT in Lincoln. We would think they were glad that not
