Farm Bureau women's committee promoting youth involvement in the Logan County Fair

[July 18, 2012]  The women's committee of the Logan County Farm Bureau is promoting youth involvement in the Dairy and Culinary Department at the Logan County Fair. They welcome boys and girls ages 5-8 to enter a lunchbox category.

The winner will receive a gift certificate from Abe's Carmelcorn Shoppe. All participants will receive a gift-filled bag of youth-related agricultural items.

Entries may be made through July 25 at 4:30 p.m. at the fair secretary's office, south of the grandstand at the fairgrounds. The office is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Mary Ellen Martin is the superintendent of the Dairy and Culinary Department. Assistant superintendents are Nancy Read, Jena Read and Norma Bathe.
