2nd-quarter Logan County home sales report

[July 20, 2012]  The Logan County Board of Realtors reports that the second quarter of 2012 saw improved home sales compared with the same period in 2011.

Realtors in the Logan County Board of Realtors sold 85 homes in the second quarter of 2012, 18 more than the 67 sold during the corresponding period in 2011.

The average selling price for homes in the second quarter this year was $85,892, up from $80,813 the year before. Median prices were up as well, but to a lesser degree at $74,000, compared with $73,000 the previous year.

The length of time the average home was on the market also saw improvement, with the average "days on market" at 159 in 2012. This was 64 days quicker than in the same period in 2011.
